Yeah, I think this will be my tipping point for a 3DS purchase.
I found this really interesting, from a recent IGN article at GDC on Killzone 3:
"Ultimately, de Roos and his team succeeded in working Move into the game, even if it didn't quite work out perfectly at first. He noted that, with Killzone 3's online features, players using Move were too strong, and that balancing was needed to level the playing field between Move and DualShock players."
I think we should start referring to this guy as Suck - a perfect companion to Blow, and perfect discriptions of what both of their games do.
Well we're going round in circles now so i'll just leave it here!
Maybe they will prove themselves with what does look to be an interesting game. I look forward to finding out.
The only indication of a game's quality is the pedigree of the people making it, and these folks appear to have none - so my question was why charge them with making your key game instead of a more illustrious studio.
Proven with Move doesn't matter a jot.
Proven game-makers is the important bit.
The 'lazy' theory was put forward by the person interviewed in that article, I think it just might have some credibility - al...
A new DKCR would be great - and could work really nicely with 3D.
People won't want it either if it's perceived as getting the 'b team' games - which leads to the question why release a product only to support it half-assedly?
It has great software and its best games sell well, I'm just trying to figure out why the internet and the 'hardcore gamers', aka nerds, hate it.
Because they're fat fucks who can barely lift their flabby arms to swing a Wii-mote, let alone stand for a prolonged period of time to play on Kinect, seems as good an explanation as any.
They are still missing a trick by not porting across the HD wave of arcade gunshooters - although HOTD 4 could be the start of that process.
There's two aspects here - first that all three companies pump out sequels and it's great.
We seem to agree on this even though my comment has received a lot of disagrees, lol.
The second aspect is that Sony is seen as "the only" company taking risks on new franchises.
No, I don't agree with that.
Nintendo Wii pretty much has its own entire library distinct from 360 and PS3, full of quirky and or...
The question then is why give an unproven studio such a heady task?
Also I do like his theory on "the lazy gamer", I think people being fat fucks has more to do with the unacceptance of motion controls than the quality of the games.
Sony is giving us multiple iterations of God of War, Resistance, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank..
I'm not saying this is a bad thing, quite the opposite - they're good games so why not make more.
But recognise that it applies across the board and not solely to Nintendo or MS.
Meh, anyone who says those three words has nothing to offer the world of videogames - Fez looks to be proof.
Cage putting the 'emo' in demo.
I don't know what it'll do that other shooters aren't - it's a new installment in an excellent series made by people with excellent track records so naturally a lot of gamers are excited.
Sick of the selective 'not another'-ers, complain loudly when YOUR favourite fanchise gets a new installment!
Steel Battalion - looks absolutely awesome. After that, Halo 4.. the two new Fable games.. was a really strong showing, it must be said.
A few of those reasons are really stupid - concern for game store profits and preowned-buying cheapskates? lol.
Movies could be downloaded and potentially back catalogue games too.
Not saying I'm convinced this kind of concept for the next Xbox would be the best, but I think I could live with it..
And yet the creator of .. Pez? .. or whatever it's called, has the nerve to say modern Japanese games "suck"..
Why?
This guy could sell ice to eskimos.
Two hours long so you don't have to take a bathroom break, lol. Unfortunately those two hours are so boring and uneventful you're likely to literally fall asleep.
